
Darren WeeksBCom, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Darren Weeks is the Chief Executive Officer of Fast Track Capital. In his role as CEO, Darren is responsible for driving the strategic direction of the company by sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities through his worldwide network of business professionals.
Darren brings an impeccable track record of success in real estate investing to the Fast Track Capital team. As a professional real estate investor with 18 years of experience, he has always invested on solid market fundamentals and identifiable trends in North American real estate. Darren bought his first investment property in 1990 and since then has participated in hundreds of diverse real estate transactions individually and with joint venture partners.
As a dynamic and successful entrepreneur, Darren has embraced the philosophies and concepts presented by Robert Kiyosaki in his bestselling book Rich Dad Poor Dad and other material published by The Rich Dad Company. In 2001, he launched a financial literacy company called Fast Track to Cash Flow and took this powerful material and customized it for his Canadian audience. Since then over 100,000 people have attended Fast Track to Cash Flow educational events that are held across Canada and the company has earned over $100 million in revenues. Fast Track to Cash Flow is the affiliate company of Fast Track Capital.
Darren sees Fast Track Capital as fulfilling a need for Canadians to have different, RSP-eligible investment choices that are based on sound fundamentals and backed by a proven team of experts. To achieve this he has partnered with Ken McElroy, bestselling author of The ABCs of Real Estate Investing and personal real estate advisor to Robert Kiyosaki, and his team who have an extensive due diligence background and track record for profiting from real estate market trends. Their real estate investing expertise, together with Darrens sales and marketing savvy and personal investing success will help the company achieve its mission of bringing above average returns and access to private deals to individual investors.
Darren holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in accounting from the University of Alberta.
Brent MagnanBCom, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and President
Brent Magnan is the COO and President of Fast Track Capital. Brent is responsible for engaging new business and investment opportunities, performing due diligence in conjunction with the Fast Track Capital team and ensuring chosen projects attain their required funding. Brent is also the Vice President of Business Development for Fast Track to Cash Flow, the affiliate company of Fast Track Capital.
Brent has a broad background in many aspects of business development and management. His areas of expertise include business plan development, risk analysis and strategic planning and execution, as well as developing and optimizing internal systems and processes. Having held various senior management positions, Brent brings a solid financial background to Fast Track Capital.
An entrepreneur at heart, Brent has taken his passion for business development and applied it to developing a national telecommunications company called Comamigo Canada. As President and Managing Partner of Comamigo Canada, Brent successfully implemented a national network of re-sellers in the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) home phone service market. He also worked with a destination-based gaming company in the roll of business development before joining the Fast Track team.
Brent also specializes in fundamental analysis and computer modeling. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance from the University of Alberta, where he was ranked among the top two percent of the business faculty. He was also recently included as one of Edmontons Sizzling 20 Under 30 as voted on by Edmontons business leaders and professional associations and published by Edmontonians magazine.
James (Jim) SandCA, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Vice-President
Jim Sand is the CFO and Vice-President of Fast Track Capital. In addition to helping drive the strategic direction of the company, Jim is responsible for overseeing company operations to ensure cost-effective management of resources. He is also responsible for operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and investor communications.
Jim brings over 15 years of investing experience in real estate and other private opportunities to Fast Track Capital. He specializes in conducting technical and fundamental due diligence on investment opportunities, as well as raising private equity. As a chartered accountant, he also offers valuable expertise in internal financial controls and management.
Prior to joining Fast Track Capital, Jim was the Vice President of Finance for Yotta Yotta, Inc., an Edmonton-based data storage solutions provider. He also held a senior financial position with R&M Energy System Canada, a manufacturer of downhole oilfield pumps, and was the Vice President of Finance for Corrpro Canada Inc., a manufacturer and service provider in the cathodic protection market. Before this Jim worked with the accounting firm of Price Waterhouse in Edmonton. He also has ownership in a number of private companies.
Jim recently joined Darren Weeks and the Fast Track Group as the companys President, with a focus on the Fast Track Capital division of the business. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, a business diploma from Red Deer College and is a chartered accountant.
Danielle PearceDirector of Administration and Human Resources
Danielle Pearce is the Director of Administration and Human Resources for Fast Track Capital Inc. Danielle is responsible for overseeing the administration department on a day to day basis and assisting Lloyd McDonald in the development and management of the regional sales team. Danielle is also the Privacy Officer for Fast Track Capital Inc.
Danielle started her business career in marketing after completing her college education and honed her sales skills when she was appointed European Sales and Marketing Executive for PALRAM, an International plastics firm.
From there Danielle moved into the Real Estate industry working for the second largest real estate agency in the UK. During her 5 years at Sequence UK Ltd. Danielle was promoted to Property Sales Manager and from there to Branch Partner (Managing the sales department, the administration department and the financial services department of the Selby, North Yorkshire branch) Danielle was one of the youngest branch partners in the country. Danielle also received the NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents) Technical award, one of the most coveted awards available in the Real Estate industry in the UK. As a branch partner leading an all female team Danielle continued to climb the league tables until her emigration to Canada in July 2007, upon where she commenced a career with Remax Real Estate.
Danielle joined Fast Track Capital in March 2008 and continues to be an enthusiastic addition to the team.
