Canada's national luge team has found a sponsor just in time for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
Veteran team member Regan Lauscher announced Tuesday that Fast Track Capital, an Edmonton investment firm, came forward to help the team.
"Going into the final year, into the push before the games, it really is critical that we have that title sponsor, that we have that support, that we have access to services that our competitors do have," she said.
The luge team mounted a bold campaign to try to attract a sponsor, included putting "for sale" stickers on their helmets.
At the time, the Canadian Luge Association said it would cost a sponsor about $250,000 a year to put its stamp on the national team.
